Congo Citrine Specimen ( Lightbrary / Kundalini Citrine)
Citrine Specimen
About This Specimen
Citrine, a member of the Quartz family, comes in many shades ranging from oranges to yellows. Specimens from the Congo tend to range in tone from a pale champagne to a darker iced tea color. The cause of Citrines sunny hue is still under debate. Some Citrines are colored by aluminum-based and irradiation-induced color centers, similar to those found in smoky quartz. Also, lower quality Amethyst is commonly heated, turning it yellow or orange, and sold as Citrine. Our Congo Citrine are completely natural and have not been treated in any way.
